Tree Planting 2026

First week done and dusted! 

I traveled by bus up to thunder bay, never listen to someone when they say "it's only 20 hours. That was a long 20 hours. It was beautiful though. I slept through most of the way from Sault Ste Marie to thunder bay but when I woke up I looked out the window to the sleeping giant! It was gorgeous in the morning sun!

The first days of planting were a blur of learning everything. I have so much gratitude for all the little good moments along the way. 

The second day was especially rough, I was very sick in the morning and very dehydrated and it bit me in the ass. The third day was way better I planted all the way out to a gorgeous lake and sat with the biggest grin I've had in a while.

I am heading into town now for day off. I am so excited for every little thing. Indoor bathroom, dinner breakfast, laundry! And, at the end of the day, a shower AND soak in a hot tub at the rec center! 

Things feel amazing, my body feels amazing. This season is going to be very good for me!
